The Art Factory made headlines in September after canceling multiple weddings and filing for bankruptcy.
Located in the Great Falls Historic District, the iconic 230,000-square-foot complex on 4.78 acres will welcome prospective buyers this month to preview the site before the auction on Nov. 22 by order of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. The auction is being handled by Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Company.
Originally built in the mid-1840s for the American Hemp Co., the Art Factory stands as a testament to Paterson's industrial heritage, with high ceilings, large antique windows, and original brick walls that have hosted scenes for major films like The Irishman and West Side Story.
The complex has evolved into a hub for artists, photographers, and filmmakers, offering studio spaces, workshops, and a popular setting for weddings and expos.
Property previews are scheduled from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and Monday, Nov. 18, for interested bidders. Click here for auction details.
